Who We Are
Susie Abadi, Founder & President
Susie Abadi is a Youth Programs innovator, founder, and catalyst. Raised in London and working professionally on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, she has a unique capacity to bring people together, mobilize volunteers, and organize programs that today benefit youth in the Americas and sub-Saharan Africa.
For over two decades, Susie has worked for a European Investment Bank in their London and New York offices. Active in their Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): Impact and Inclusive Finance/CSR ERG; Committee member of NYK HOLA ERG (Hispanic, Outreach, Leadership & Advancement) Women in Global Markets.
Passionate about addressing issues affecting disadvantaged youth worldwide, Susie founded The Excelerator Global Inc. to support youth empowerment and civic society projects in Latin America. With projects aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, she is connecting youth to the broader global effort to eradicate poverty, create opportunities, and support sustainable communities.
The youngest of three sisters, her parents raised her with strong values that flow like a river through her, a legacy that benefits disadvantaged children and youth throughout the world. Her father taught her the importance of family, but also of commitment – the essential ingredient in life. Her mother taught her everything she knows about service to others. Susie learned that by caring for others, she found confidence.
These experiences forged Susie’s belief in youth empowerment, and, too, the power of mentoring to support youth-led projects that benefit local communities, environment, and women’s empowerment in Africa (South Africa, Uganda, Zambia) and Latin America (Honduras, Peru, Colombia).
For her efforts, in 2019, the Impact Capital Forum (ICF) awarded Susie an ICF Fellowship to participate in Opportunity Collaboration, a convening of 400+ global social leaders. Susie will also be a delegate to Opportunity Collaboration 2021.

About Our Logo
The Andean Condor is the largest flying bird in the world and, as a national symbol of many South America countries, it is immediately familiar to youth throughout Latin America. In some Native traditions, condors represent righteous leadership, justice, wisdom and strength. These values are embodied in The Excelerator’s Leadership Program. The condor’s wings spread to 10 feet apart. In the logo, its wings are protecting and watching over the youth.
